Our
History
The
Pikes Peak Range Riders Foundation, was created in 1999 by the
54-year-old Pikes Peak Range Riders organization, with a focus on
fundraising and fundraising events deemed necessary to raise monies to
be given back to the community. During the early years many tens
of thousands of dollars were raised and donated back to select local
charities.
In September 2001,
Latigo Trails Heritage Centre was donated to the Foundation with a primary goal in mind:
to become a multi-use community facility for youth-oriented educational,
recreational, and cultural programs. The activities offered were mainly
equestrian-oriented: therapeutic riding courses, small-organized rodeos
and events, and horse boarding barn facilities.
Today, the popularity
of the equestrian activities is strong and development of Latigo Trails Heritage Centre is
expanding to include meeting rooms, private party facilities, retail outlets,
office space, restaurant space, and indoor and outdoor event arenas. 100%
of the proceeds from Latigo Trails Heritage Centre are dedicated to support expanded
youth activity programming and development.
The Pikes Peak Range
Riders Foundation is dedicated to providing opportunities for kids in
the Pikes Peak Region. Latigo Trails Heritage Centre is operated on this foundation
of enthusiasm, commitment, and involvement.
